Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport (SAV)

SAV is located approximately 8 miles northwest of Savannah’s Central Business District (CBD). Here are a few options to get from the airport to the downtown area.

Buses

Chatham Area Transit (CAT) runs several bus routes connecting the airport to various parts of Savannah. Route #100X Airport Express runs Monday – Saturday, approximately every 100 – 120 minutes, from the airport to Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center in Downtown Savannah. Travel time is approximately 50 – 60 minutes and a one-way fare is $5.00 USD. Bus route #3 also passes by the airport and buses run every 60 minutes. The fare for this route and other non-express routes is $1.50 USD.

Several taxi companies are permitted to pick up passengers at the Savannah / Hilton Head International Terminal. A flat fare of $28.00 USD is applicable for a ride from the airport to all locations in the Savannah Historic District in the downtown area. The ride takes approximately 15 minutes.
