Seated next to a gentleman that took up 1.5 seats. He was a bit big. It was very uncomfortable, almost bordering on disgusting sitting mushed up against this guy for 5 hours. There has to be some kind of provision to account for things like this. If someone cant fit within a single seat, they need to buy 2 or the airline should have a couple rows of 2 seat rows instead of 3. We didnt bring this to the crews attention as it was a full flight and not their fault whatsoever. The crew themselves were very nice, and attentive to calls as I watched. Just frustrated with the cattle herding without any concern to health or safety. This guy could not have gotten out the emergency exit even if he wanted to.

The flight was re-routed to a different airport where we were forced to remain on the plane. Getting time estimates was quite difficult, asking immediately angered the crew , and most estimates given were outright lies. Although passengers were hungry because of the extended time aboard the aircraft, the service crew refused to sell any food or even provide water.

The flight attendants were great but when we arrived we were stuck on the runway for over an hour and no one offered us water or snacks and my husband was even told he couldn’t use the bathroom. United doesn’t even serve a small snack unless you pay for it.
