First time flying Volaris. Even though it is a budget airline, the staff and crew were wonderful. Check-in was a breeze and the plane actually left early and got into destination 15 minutes early. Baggage was off loaded rapidly so was able to get through customs swiftly

There was an additional x-ray machine at the gate, even thought we were already in a secure area. I was connecting, so I never left the secure area, but I had to go through screening again. The main inconvenience was that I had to throw my water, and there was no dispenser inside the gate area, so no water until offered a glass as part of the in-flight service, over an hour later. Boarding was very slow, but ordered. Somehow, I ended up in "boarding group 7" (the last one) even though I had payed for a seat closer to the centre of the plane.

Boarding procedure was just awful, if you have older family members who can barely use phones dont get them on this airline, they require you get your own boarding pass through the app and pay for your baggage there also which the app sucks, even after you pay you have to show them you paid if not they will charge you again ohh and they charge you $15 to print your pass which is crazy every other airline clerk does this procedure at the counter and prints it for you, and they dont even give you a wheel chair even if you requested months ago, never again in my books.

I paid so much for this ticket and My seat's table had tape over because it was broken. I did mention it to the attendant and it seemed like " who cares, what can I do about it? It was so uncomfortable not to have a place for my cup or my laptop. Also, there were several people with their phones or tablets playing music and sounds, once again, I told the attendant and totally ignored it. No respect and poor quality care. Not happy with Avianca.

My original flight on 10/1 at 10:19 am got cancelled So, I booked an alternate flight on 10/1 at 2:25. The second flight also got canceled. So, I had to book another alternate flight which finally left on 10/2 at 5:50am No one would answer the phone or respond to the Chat line for hours. Finally when I talked to someone, they were not able to help me get to Las Vegas on the same day. So, I was not able to attend the NACS convention on Saturday, having to pay for the hotel room, car rental and David Blaine magic show which I missed, costing me $500 of wasted money.
