Currently, Kenya travel restrictions include travel to Wajir. Kenya reopened its airports to international flights on August 1. Travelers entering Kenya are required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 96 hours prior to arrival in Kenya. Travelers with a negative rapid test result will be subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine. All travelers will be screened on arrival; anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 will be subject to a 14-day quarantine in their residence or at a hotel. Quarantine will apply to travelers depending on their country of origin. Travelers arriving from countries included on this list are exempted from quarantine unless they are symptomatic. Passenger Locator Cards (PLC, provided both on the flight and at the airport terminal) will be used to track passengers entering Kenya. Travelers may be subject to quarantine restrictions if any passengers within two rows of their seat appear symptomatic. If you are planning to travel to Wajir at this time, it is recommended that you stay up to date on current restrictions and follow proper safety measures while in public.
