In the Tooele Valley southwest of Salt Lake City, the Best Western Inn Tooele makes a comfortable base in Tooele, Utah, between the Oquirrh Mountains and the edge of the Great Salt Lake desert. Wide-open country surrounds the town. The Oquirrh Mountains and 11,000-foot Deseret Peak rise to the east with trails for hiking and biking, the Bonneville Salt Flats stretch west toward the racing flats, and the Deseret Peak Complex and Utah Motorsports Park host events throughout the year. The Great Salt Lake spreads to the north for boating, birdwatching, and golden sunsets. Newly remodeled rooms include satellite television, free high-speed Wi-Fi, a microwave, and a refrigerator, and a deluxe hot breakfast opens the day. An indoor pool, a hot tub, and a fitness room round out the stay, with meeting space for business retreats and family gatherings. Between the mountains and the salt flats, Tooele opens onto the wide-open West.
