The vehicle was not fueled up prior to me renting it. That was not expected and I should have been advised at the checkout counter prior to me getting into the very busy and unfamiliar 5 lane highway at rush hour.

To extend my rental it was $200 more than Budget. So I returned my rental to Indianapolis airport and took and Uber to the downtown location ($20) and picked up my next rental quickly.

Our car smelled so strongly of smoke we had to drive with the windows open or we would get headaches. The car door sides and the back seat had trash in them- including a bag of trash from a restaurant that would have been easy to see if someone had glanced in. So for sure it wasn't cleaned before we got it. When we dropped the car off, there were no workers in sight so we had to just leave the keys and walk away hoping things were in order for us to check out. I wish someone had been there to wrap up the rental with us. I am nervous they are going to say it wasn't returned.

Very long wait at counter. Payless/Avis only had one person at counter for over 25 customers. The wait was in excess of 45 minutes. Car was not clean, needed maintenance and was fairly old for rental car.

Went to pick up our rental, not even 2 hrs after having it all dash lights come on and it says malfunction, so my husband was at work and I went to take it back the guy was rude as ever talking about well he need to be here even though I had the contract and him on speakerphone while I’m at the counter. So then I have to go back up there again the next day for them to tell me they have no cars they had to upgrade the class so I went from a full size sedan to a Toyota 4Runner but what they seemed to have left out was that is be charged double my rental agreement daily.. very upset

Alamo was fine. I just didn't much care for the Audi as it is much over hyped in my opinion. 1. I mean the most prominent information in the center of the dash for the driver is the date & time?, and a picture of the car with a thermometer for the temp of the engine? REALLY?!? The speedometer is a small dial in the lower right hand corner. 2. You have to push AND HOLD the seat memory button until it reaches the correct position. 3. There is no speed limit indicator for the road you are driving on. 4. The cruise control lever is hidden below the steering wheel, out of sight, and you can't turn off that damn follow too close feature. If I don't know when to break or slow down, then I shouldn't be driving. 5. My 7 year old Genesis is a much better car.

I was charged $46.45 for a fuel. I returned car with a full tank They refused to refund the $46.45 I was told fuel was $3.44 a gallon. I was told I would pay for how many gallons needed to fill the tank. I want a refund for the $46.45.

It was not all Thrifty's fault. My Delta flight out of DSM was delayed so I missed my connection in ATL. That didnt get me into Indianapolis until 1:30 am. All car rental personnel had gone home. I immediately called Thrify and they told me I had to contact Price Line and they said they would look into refunding me. I had tried to let them know of the delay earlier in the day on their automative answering system but got no response. I walked out to the car lot and found an Avis employee that helped me out. So if you can help make sure Price Line refunds me, I will continue to use Kayak. Thank You Darrin Lynd

I made a reservation for a car through kayak back in March at this location. When I went to pick it up at my scheduled date and time, they informed me that the over $500 I had already put down was nowhere to be found and that this happens frequently with kayak (who uses CarRentals.com). They just don’t forward your money to the vendor. They made me a reservation for a car, but did not forward my money to Thrifty. Additionally, I waited in line for more than an hour to find this out with no explanation about why the waits were so long. The staff were clearly stressed and overworked and I was not the only person having issues at the counter. Another person and their family stood at the counter for no less than 45 minutes. No one got away from that counter in less than 15 minutes and nobody was telling the Gold members they could leave the line and go get a car. A Gold member stood behind me in line and was not told he had special privileges until he was nearly at the counter, which made me upset for him! The places was incredibly disorganized and the staff was under trained and stressed. They were just trying to get through people and were not kind or good at explaining anyone’s issues. I would literally never rent from this location again even if my rental had gone off without a hitch when I got to the counter. Waiting more than an hour to unsuccessfully pick up my reservation was ridiculous, and the explanation I was given at the time made 0 sense and I had to piece it together with a friend after I was told to get OUT OF THE LINE and figure out my issue on my own. Just absolutely horrible. I might change or update this review if I ever get a refund of the money I paid in March for a car I was unable to pickup from this disorganized, overbooked location.

No surprises, love that! Only complaint was the car was dirty on the outside, they couldn’t wash it because it was too cold. I could have requested a $15 credit, but I had to go back into the office and request it at the counter. Why make me jump through hoops? Just issue the credit, that’s how you treat your customers.

Budget provided an old Jeep with nearly 200K miles on it that didn’t drive well, and was not clean - it and still had someone else’s trash in it. Not impressed. The pick up took nearly an hour in queue however the agent was friendly.

I was not allowed to even rent the car! Even though it was perfectly fine to use my debt card to rent a car from Hertz a week earlier to drive to the airport, renting a car to drive from the airport back home was not allowed. I set up this rental about a month earlier and at no time did they tell me that I would need a credit card to obtain the car at the airport. I was stuck in Indianapolis overnight. Could not find an available car at with any other car rental companies, BUT WAS ABLE TO RENT A UHAUL TRUCK AND THAT IS HOW I WAS ABLE TO GET HOME THE FOLLOWING DAY!

Our 11:30 flight from SFO to IND with ETA 6:00pm had been cancelled. We then got on plane 5 hours later, which made new ETA 11:30 pm. We booked our Hurtz rental via Priceline. We'd tried to contact Priceline which can't help us, then we tried to get hold with Hurtz, was informed will be charged 5% of total cost ($1450) to speak to a real live person.... when we arrived, there's nobody at Hurtz desk, other rental company tried to help, but I think we'd paid and won't get refund. Ended up spent another $100 ubering to our hotel close to 1am. What a terrible way to start our vacation!!!

They may javelin been a little short staffed at pickup the line was not long only about 5 people in front of me but it took 20-30 minutes. Staff were efficient and courteous at both pick up and drop off. Drop off staff went the extra mile to quickly shuttle me back to my other vehicle. Great service. I will try to use hertz again much better than most other rentals I have used.

Reserved a car in advance. It placed my pickup at the airport. When I called the terminal to confirm I found out they would not accept my debit card at the airport. I modified the reservation for in town pickup. The price almost doubled. I am an Enterprise plus member. I live in Indianapolis and have rented previously. Still wouldn’t accept my debit card. I was on a schedule and had to pay twice the money for the same car. Not happy

The car had not been cleaned, even in a limited way. Straw wrapper and drink ring in the drink holder, crumbs and fries in the seat crack, dust on the dash. Absolutely for sure had been smoked in. Pretty great for only $270/day. 👎🏻
