Passengers arriving on trains to El Paso will be getting off at the El Paso Union Depot. This train station is located in the Union Plaza district of El Paso, Texas, just west of the city’s downtown area. The Union Plaza district is known for its entertainment spots and nightlife. From El Paso Union Depot, there are many things that are just a walk away. For instance, just past Union Plaza, in only a quarter hour on foot, you’ll be in the heart of downtown El Paso in the Las Plazas and Office districts. In this area, you’ll find many museums to explore, like the El Paso Museum of Art or the El Paso Museum of History. If you continue waking south towards Paisano Drive, you’ll enter the El Centro district. This is a very lively area that you can explore as soon as you get off your El Paso train. El Centro is full of activity, including shops and restaurants.
Trains to El Paso arriving at the Union Depot are run by the national rail company Amtrak. Amtrak sets the requirements for travel documentation. Apart from your El Paso train tickets, passengers may be asked to show some sort of valid photo ID.
