, The problem is with the insurance provider provided by kayak. Mex rent a car doesn’t like it so they requiered a $4,000 deposit 💸 against anything that might happen. If you use kayaks insurance. Also if you use a third party insurance they will hold you liable first.

I really liked the check in/ check out process, simple and efficient. The staff was nice. The unit was a little bit damaged and the seats were not so clean, but the car was working as expected. Thank you 😇

I made my reservation online and when I went to pick up my rental there were no available cars. I had to go with another company and paid more than double the price for the rental. I filed a complaint and no refund yet.

We were directed from Thrifty to Hertz, don't know why. We were upgraded to a Mercedes Benz van. That all sounded good but...center console (Radio, GPS. Screen, etc.) not working. Gas gauge didn't work. Tire pressure indicator warning light always on, windshield cracked, interior lights didn't work. When we rented the vehicle they acknowledged all of that AND we wasted over an hour waiting for them to find registration papers. Upon return they tried to charge me for gas, even though it was full. With all the defects I should have gotten a discount. It was worse than rent a wreck. Worst rental experience ever.

The worst experience we ever had. Upon arriving at location we were being told that they don't have the we reserved and ask us to upgrade for way high cost. In his wording it doesn't matter if you have reservation or not.They purposely want you to pay more at the counter.

Worst experience of my life! Not only did they NOT honor the price on the reservation, WE NEVER GOT THE CAR WE RESERVED.EVER. I was told I was to be put on a waiting list and they were going to call me whenever a vehicle was available. I never got the call. Alamo could care less about their customers, let alone delivering upon what they promised. I HOPE KAYAK STOP DOING BUSINESS WITH ALAMO.

After getting confirmation email that my car was ready, there were no cars leaving me stranded in the middle of a city unable to enjoy vacation of touring around as planned. They blamed me for renting thru kayak!

I bought a price online, only to find out that this was not the price, because, after all, they must add a bunch of out of nowhere add-ons making it as expensive as everyone else's. Never mind that. Your insurance is too expensive and does not cover the car 100% without a deductible. Ah, not to worry, we will give you an upgrade on the car, one more expensive. Does the 100% deductible apply? No. That means if the car is totaled, I'm paying even more! So I went to Avis right in front. 100% coverage, no deductible, less costly overall. Sorry, I felt scammed by Europcar by them hiding real costs. Not again.
