Many hidden fees!! They force you to purchase insurance even though most credit cards cover this. It is at minimum $20/day. Also lots of taxes. It ended up being about $200 more than advertised on Kayak. Complete BS.

Kayak hooked me up with a midsize car for me , my wife and my parents who are larger people so we need a midsize vehicle for our trip and there's luggage too! First off we couldn't find the enterprise on FRANCISCO MEDINA ASCENCIO 141, Puerto Vallarta, JA, MX which doesn't exist. So we went to the airport enterprise- to grab our Nissan Xtrail, they proceeded to tell us that they don't have a car for us even though we have one reserved prior to coming. Arguing with the enterprise rental person no apology or anything, which is ridiculous. So we cancelled our rental reservation due to no car and no help from enterprise at all. We tried to get a car at Alamo at the airport who also didn't have any cars for us. They took us to the big Alamo outside of the airport. They told us they had a midsized car and they gave us a Nissan Micra clown car. This is the smallest car and we all had to sit with luggage on our laps and at our feet it was so small. Whatever we get the car do our trip to Mazatlan and go to return the car. They won't give us our deposit back so we sat and waited. They were super unhelpful and didn't know a goddam thing about anything at all. This was the WORDST RENTAL CAR EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!! I am not at all impressed with PRICELINE, KAYAK, ENTERPRISE OR ALAMO!! You have all gotten this review because none of you are helpful or even care about your customers. I will never ever use PRICELINE, KAYAK , ALAMO OR ENTERPRISE EVER AGAIN! I would like this issue to be rectified.

The staff were pretty rude and behaved as though we were inconveniencing them when I asked for a receipt. Car was pretty worn but it got us around just fine. The reason for the review was really just about the staff specifically at check out

The check-in & drop-off process is a total cluster with zero organization or signage to let anyone, no matter what language, knows what to do. Taking 30+ minutes to pick up a car when I'm an Avis member is insulting. Last time in Puerto Vallarta I rented with Hertz & it was a quick & easy in & out process. Guess who I'll be using in the future in Puerto Vallarta? Definitely not Avis...

Overall it was pretty easy. The guys that helped with the inspection and return were professional and friendly. The car was in ok condition, definitely a bit rough around the edges, but it functioned well; the cars do have a hard life down there with the rough roads. Overall an easy experience with no heavy upsell, which is always nice to avoid.

I picked this company because they had an airport location; thinking I would not have to shuttle offsite to get the car. That wasn’t the case; I had to take a shuttle to an offsite location. FYI. Also, the $322 weekly rental turned out to be $714 because of the required insurance. Over double the amount we anticipate spending.

Complete scam. Avoid like the plague.

Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance, showed up and they have no cars. Long story short, they eventually find a car at another rental service for $100 more. I took the bus instead.

The booking price always looks great when reserving in Mexico, but at pick-up they add on mandatory insurance and fees that are usually more than the booking fee. Still a reasonable deal.

Vehicle was nice, pick up took a very long time. Price was very expensive.

Complete rip off, do not use this rental company. They upcharged an 80% mandatory basic insurance to our original resevation and if we wanted any quality insurance for the vehicle the median mark up was 240% price incresase for the insurance alone. The door handles were held together with tape, the tire shoulders were bald and the windshield wipers fell apart after using them in the rainstorm we experieced. We were honestly lucky to have reached our destination. Budget's name took a serious hit from my consideration if their branches conduct business in this shady manner.

Was charged a different price than quoted, was forced to buy Hertz insurance.

Terrible experience. They did not have the car we had booked for our reservation. I had originally booked a standard SUV for 300 American dollars. They only had a Jeep and a compact car, we definitely would had not fit our 4 ppl and all our luggage in the compact car. Asked for the price of the Jeep and they were trying to charge us 1700 American dollars. I know it’s never the price they actually quote you for but come on now, that’s more that 5 times what we were quoted for the SUV. What a joke! Did not give them our business and definitely never will when we go back.

Do not rent with them : the place doesn’t exist in Vallarta

e sure to read the fine print. I was quoted 149.00 for 7 days total. Yes it sounds to good to be true and it was. I even have the email that I have read over and over. When I arrived in Puerto Vallerta the price was closer to 500.00. I should have known better,. Their customer servoice was not the best. I walked next door to AVIS and rented a car for 450.00 for 7 days on the spot. I would not recommend ACE ever.....,
