The phrasing of 'up to 24 hours' in the cancellation policy is not clear. Attempted to cancel at least a week before scheduled pick up date. Emailed numerous times and reached out via phone (of which I was disconnected many times). The bottom line is Sixt charged $100 even though the cancellation request was made well before 24 hours notice. Also, response time from Sixt is slow.

I rented the car for my wife, who was traveling with our 2 kids. SixT was not the lowest price mini-van. However the Kayak site said the car would be available at the airport, while all the other rental places said "shuttle". I was disappointed that my wife had to get on a shuttle with 2 little kids. Also, I was quoted a price of $152. Just last week I rented with Alamo and they gave us car-seats. This time, we had to pay $30 each for car seats. This will be the last time I rent from SixT.

The pick up was perfect the drop off was horrible. Fort Lauderdale airport there is no one to tend to you. There was only one worker and 10 cars ahead of me. I had a flight to catch and then found out there was no shuttle and had to call an Uber and just barely made my plane. I’ve been trying to reach someone about somethings specific about the drop off and it’s been almost 36 hours and I cannot reach anyone. It’s terrible

Lame and disappointing experience. Budget counter was closed, it was being served by Avis. The employee tried to charge me $18 a day because the didn't have the car I've rented. Explained, in a very rude attitude, that's their policy when you rent thru 3rd party. First time I see this non sense. Kept me, and my 8 year old daughter, waiting for a manager for 1.30 hours at 12am. Finally she proceed to "make an exemption" and gave us a dirty, smelly and pretty beaten Kia Soul.

We waited over 30 minutes for the shuttle from the airport to the Budget lot, making several calls to the phone numbers listed with no service. Eventually we paid the driver of a different rental company’s shuttle to take us to the budget lot. They’re insanely understaffed. When we dropped the car off we were charged for fuel even though we had filled the fuel and had proof of such. The line was about 30 customers deep so we couldn’t do anything about it without missing our flight back.

Did not realize until we got to FL that our rental was off-site of the airport. Hertz agent at airport told us we needed to get a taxi to pick up car. No problem. We got our car, a Mission, roomy enough for my husband to get in and out of. Drop off was easy and they called a taxi for us.

This Hertz location was easy to deal with. My only comment would be if renting through Kayak, make sure you pay attention to where the pickup location is. My belief was I was picking up at the airport based on my search criteria. To my dismay I was told I had rented off the airport and had to take a taxi to the location.

Hertz changed my reservation without telling me. My weekly rate was $429. I extended my rental an extra week. When I dropped off the car, I was charged $1359.61. I am extremely disappointed with Hertz and Kayak.

The Hertz location that I booked on Travelocity was nowhere near the airport. When I got to the airport that facility was closed. I had to go to the airport hertz facility and charged extra money taxes etc. The car had a shimmy in the wheel it was a Chevy trailblazer and a wobbly steering wheel. The window had been scratched by something that where they had put a sticker on it at some point. The driver side window. Absolute disaster.

Patrick at pick up was very friendly. He told me to park right outside the door when dropping off. When returning the car in the pouring rain, I parked it outside where he told me and ran inside to tell them. I was informed that I needed to park the car under the canopy of the hotel. So in the pouring rain, I got back into the car and drove it to underneath the hotel canopy. I was told to wait there for the van to take me to the airport. The van did not stop at the hotel, but in front of the Easirent door. I had to hurry through the hotel to get to the van before it left and flag it down myself so that the driver knew I needed a ride. A third time I had to go into the pouring rain to get into the van. All that said, I was not too pleased with the drop off experience! And I was VERY wet.

Horrible service. When I went to pick up the car they said I already picked it up. Then they told me I would have to make a new reservation and wait for a refund for the first. The worst company I ended up ubering to Hertz and renting there. Waiting on refunds the worst!
