The 3500 Virginia Beach Blvd Hertz Rental car is the worst rental car business I have ever encountered in 30 years of driving. The location is difficult to find, it has no signs inside our outside. Inside the office is dirty, water stains, lights missing, gear and random equipment stored haphazardly for customers to stare at, umbrellas and light fixtures on the floor. The system and pathway to see an attendant is designed poorly. 3 employees sat behind a small desk hidden in a separate room. One employee sat on a make shift seat. Counters we’re dirty. That’s just the physical aspects of the facility. Customer Service - non existent. The young lady attended to my rental informed me that I was too early to pick up my 10 AM reservation, at 9:41. I asked if there were other cars, she said yes - but my car wasn’t ready yet. What process are they using here? At 9:49 I was told it was okay to get a car. Zero sense After signing at the desk, I was again asked to sign documents while at the car. - that the employee stated was for the pet and smoking policy. I was rushed to sign the document in a very rude and aggressive interaction. I instructed her I was reading it, at which point I noticed the document was the pre departure photos, with an option declaring I had declined to have them sent to my email. She was rude, terse, and acted counter to Hertz Customer Service policies. I asked for it to be sent to me, and provided my email. Ironically, I never received the email. I don’t care about the dirty facility. I can handle a rude employee - but don’t lie or express incompetence to me about legally binding documents and then try to force me to sign them without reading. That’s not how this works. If I were the owner Of this facility; A) Find a new location, B) Take a week off and go through some pretty serious customer service training. Not going back. Telling all of my friends not to go back. Telling my insurance company to not do business with them. Telling the Auto Body company not to do business with them.
