Mini car rentals in San Antonio

I was told i did not need to pay for anything else yet the person chqrged me with insurance and would not let me take the car unless i paid for it.

From start to finish, great experience

Nice car, clean, quick check in. Car did need an oil change so kept getting messages about it. Car also had a small windshield crack but I had taken photos of the car at pickup and pointed it out at drop off. I was impressed with the gas mileage it got too (ford escape).

Like that they're in-terminal. HATE that they gave me an electric car and were very, very rude saying it was my only choice for a car and I should be happy they were serving me at all at such a late hour (I'm not kidding or exaggerating).

Placed in an electric car with a range of 90 miles. Not acceptable!

Pros: The car was clean and had Bluetooth. Cons: The car was a downgrade from the one we chose. We had picked an electric vehicle and instead were given a gas guzzler. The car was quoted to give 35mpg but turned out to give around 16mpg instead. The counter agents took an inordinate amount of time to process us even though we had reservations both times. No efficiency at all. The cruise control system was broken and made the drive very frustrating.

Had the truck that I needed. I didn't like that when I called Enterprise directly, the rental rate quoted me was over $400 for 1 day!!! Ridiculous!!! I went through the travel app & for the exact same rental from the same location for $53.00. That seems like very poor business practices by Enterprise.

The service was fantastic, fast and easy.

This enterprise location does not have a drop box for after hours returns. So I had to keep the car overnight when I didn’t need it, which means I had to pay to park it overnight.

I needed a truck with a tow package. They didn't have one available. Not sure why anyone would have a pick up without the ability to tow a small trailer. It's about a 300-500 dollar add on when purchased.

I had never rented a car from the airport before, so the pick up process was a bit confusing. On the other hand, the drop off was easy-peezy.

We loved the car we rented and had a super easy time getting it from the airport. We had such an early return flight that we were there before the rental place was open, so we weren't clear on what to do with our rental. We ended up just leaving the keys in the car at the dropoff location and it worked out just fine. Would definitely rent from them again.

It would have been so much more convenient to pick up in my hometown. Unfortunately I had to travel out of town to pick up and drop the car off. Other than that it was convenient dropping it off. I was a bit concerned that there was no inspection done along with a rep before and after.

Check in services is nowhere near where you are directed to pick the car up.

The car we rented had a lot of problems . The driver side rear tire was almost bald,windshield wipers were bad and it was pouring rain so not very safe

Bad experience. Kelly greeted me at the dollar counter. My booking was for Thrifty for an hour later. She said I have to come back in an hour. I told her I rent cars once a month for business purposes and I’ve never heard this one before. She said they have to honor other clients and I should step away and come back later. There was NOBODY else in line!! I stepped away and was on the phone for a while trying to book with another company. But then I went back to Kelly and told her I’ve never had to wait for the exact time and told her I just went to a different company (has a reservation from Fox who was horrible!) who didn’t have small cars and I was asked to pay for an upgrade so I’m already pretty frustrated with rental companies in San Antonio airport and I want to speak with a manager… she said she is the manager and she can’t believe the other company didn’t have a small car available. She said she will ask “her” (no idea who) “on the computer” if she could rent for me earlier. Since she said she was a manager, I don’t know who else she was asking… but she said ok after a few seconds, she can give me a small 2 door car, that’s too small and I should upgrade for a fee. I said no thanks and she insisted it’s a very small car with no Bluetooth and 2 doors. I said I was ok and she seemed upset. She asked about insurance and I said I had my own. She kept going on about how I should purchase insurance from her while I was clear I didn’t want it. Waste of my time. She was pushy, a little rude with no respect for my time. Once done I went to pick up the car. Followed the signs to an empty booth with a sign to go back to a different company. I went back and finally found a lady who told me to go to a spot and pick any car. There were all sizes cars including small suvs, but none small with 2 doors! Got a great Kia- had many choices. Not sure why people like Kelly still have their jobs, probably bad pay and not many hurrying to work for Thrifty… Bad experience.

I got to the line to collect the car, and there was no staff. No one informed us we had to stand in the HERTZ lines I had to walk around and ask other companies where the representative was. We then stood in line for 2 hours and 40 mins to get our car. We waited most of that time outside in the COLD parking garage. I have three kids and we didn't leave until 11:40pm. We had to be up the next day at 5am. It was horrendous. Their was one guy working the inside desk and one guy organizing car pick up. It was completely unorganized. The pick up line was huge. I will NEVER use Thrifty again.
