POPULAR STATION | Birmingham |
POPULAR TRAIN COMPANY | Amtrak |
Trains to Birmingham arrive at Birmingham Station, which is conveniently located in the center of the city with many hotels, attractions, and restaurants a short walk away. Since you will already be in the center of the city, walking is the best way to get around. This train station is an intermodal facility, meaning it houses several different transport options in one place. The station is also the main hub for long-distance and intercity buses, like the MAX bus service, which conveniently connects all parts of the city. Rideshare companies are popular in the city and offer an easy way to reach your final destination. The city’s Zyp public bike-share system is also available to rent at the station for a more fun way to get around after your train to Birmingham.
If you prefer to take a car to your destination, you will be able to find a designated taxi station outside of the station. If there are none waiting at the time you arrive, an agent inside will be able to call one for you. For rental cars, you will have to exit the station and walk a short distance to one of the several rental agencies nearby. If you are traveling with luggage or prefer not to walk, you can take the number 14, 23, or 40 bus to the car rental agency.
