The location is amazing! I really liked the fact that with a boat taxi you can come and go from the hotel which is very convenient. The boat bus is not convenient at all. If you don't know how to get to the hotel and if is your first time in Venice please do not think about the expense of a boat taxi. By far the best choice. The hotel has an outdoor lounge area that overlooks the canal that is shaded. In the afternoon and evening the Gondolas pass by and that is an amazing experience. Once settled in the hotel is walking distance from Venice's major attractions such as St. Marks plaza with the cathedral, Archeological museum, museum Correr, Doge's palace, the bridge of Sighs and of course the Rialto bridge. The hotel is extremely well maintained with spacious rooms. It is very clean and the stuff are very polite. Breakfast is buffet style with a great many selection. Overall great stay at Donà Palace. Highly recommended
