Vadodara is one of Gujarat's cultural capitals, a graceful city of palaces, gardens, and the celebrated M S University on the banks of the Vishwamitri. In the city center on R C Dutt Road, the Best Western Alkapuri, Vadodara, India, is a mid-scale business hotel just a three-minute drive from Vadodara Railway Station and about fifteen minutes from the airport. A short walk from the Alkapuri commercial hub, the hotel sits three kilometres from the city's main mall and university and six kilometres from the magnificent Laxmi Vilas Palace. The contemporary rooms come with flat-screen satellite TVs, an in-room refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities, work desks with ergonomic chairs, and free Wi-Fi throughout, some adding a kitchenette and a choice of soft or firm pillows. A 24-hour business center and two meeting rooms handle the working day. When the meetings end, the palaces and gardens of Vadodara wait, with the UNESCO ruins of Champaner an easy day trip.
