The counter experience was great. Fast and efficient (well staffed). When I went to actually get the car there was a person, Chris, who was to assign the vehicle. He was on the phone and never actually spoke with me. He pointed to the car and pointed to where I was to go. Pretty rude and unprofessional, in my opinion.

If I could give Dollar a minus star I would. Spent 1 hr and 45 minutes in a line to have the 1 lady working tell me they sold out of the cars I reserved over 1 week ago & even gave them a pick up time. Never offered an upgrade or alternative. I came in town for a funeral that I never made it to due to being in line almost 2 hours! Worst company and worst customer service. NEVER WILL I USE DOLLAR AGAIN. I feel like they owe me a plane ticket for making me miss my aunt's funeral.

The car had been smoked inside prior to our rental. At pick up the dollar and thrifty locations were closed. This created a very extended line at pick up for Hertz. Likely staffing issues

Don't know about any of the above. Arrived at MSY to find Dollar with a 5 row line to the counter. Waited 30 min with only moving up 1 row. Which meant I had another 2 hr wait. Noted that all the other rental agencies had 0-2 person line. I went to FB to inform DOLLAR of the situation. The chat person said they would speak to the MSY office, but I didn't expect any improvement. I canceled the rental and rented from Alamo. In and out in 10 min.

This was awful, I get there and the car they gave me had a slew of water stains, smelled like smoke and had cigarette burns in the seats. I had to go back to the counter and they took an hour to give me another car. This car was missing body parts and bumper was loose. No-one looked at the car with me and claimed that I damaged the car when I returned it. I will NEVER use KAYAK of DOLLAR car rental service again.

I had a reservation for rental car at 10:00 am. There were 30 people in line and no cars to give them. As they processed each person - they were told to step aside and wait for a car. I was going to have to wait for hours. Ridiculous and unprofessional.

at drop-off they charged us an extra day. we got the car in the central time zone and dropped it off in the eastern time zone at less than 24 hours, but they didn't allow for that and we didn't see it until we left. Now I have to call and see if I can get it refunded

I had a shock when I turned up to the airport and my car hire that was listed on the website as £250 turned into a bill of almost £600! Insurance costs just under £80 for each day and then a petrol price of $9.90 per gallon is just outrageous! Had no choice as needed a car and other providers sold out as it was collection time. Hertz canceled the booking on me and won’t hold nor same day reservations. This made it particularly hard as we were traveling with family for vacation and left us to scramble at the last moment. Very poor service and mismanagement.

There was no option to modify reservations as I was in need of car seat for infant. Return was inside a hotel where there was no board signs, it took lot of time to figure out. Atleast hertz can put up sign boards visible from Main Street and update info on google!!!

Pick was as easy as it could be made in New Orleans. The shuttle buses ran often. As someone from out of town who does not rent vehicles often, finding the drop off was a little confusing. Signage was great until almost to be very end. I got turned around a bit but was able to find my way. Turning in the care was simple and the shuttle was easy found.

Kayak advertised this car service as being at the airport, but when you reach the section of the airport where all of the other car services are located, ACE picks you up in their car and brings you to another part of Kenner. You are then stuck there until you rent one of their cars.

None of the cars I seen were new than 2018. They were all old by rental company standards. The office was in an old trailer on a non paved lot. The pick up guy was quick picking me up, that’s the only plus about the experience. My car was literally wrecked, bumper falling off, dints all around, different color paint, ripped interior etc. Overall this place shouldn’t be in business.
