The staff when checking in was very nice and empathetic of the long, long delays at other carriers, such as thrifty that had many people beyond frustrated. The Alamo staff made that horrific check in experience much better when they came over to Alamo . Check out staff were also friendly and prompt, and made that process easy as well.

They literally ran out of cars and we had to wait for hours in a line to get whatever car came out next.

Reserved a medium size car at the Atlanta airport. The wait time to pick up the car was going to be 3-4 hours. But surprisingly they had plenty of full size SUV’s available for a $250.00 per day up charge that could only be returned to Atlanta airport. Hertz was not the only rental car company at Atlanta airport with long waits to pick up cars. It was the Worst experience I have ever had renting a car.

1) The line to pick up the cars was very long. Took too much time to pick up. 2) Although I prepaid for the car, I was informed that the car wasn't available and I could either accept a much larger car (higher fuel price) or upgrade to a much more expensive car. This is unacceptable. I discovered a car in the garage that matched the model I booked and successfully requested and changed to it. These headaches are unnecessary and below expectations for a large brand. Alamo is faster and never does these switches.

I paid up front for the car. I paid insurance. I showed up at the airport only to be told they had no cars. I asked when they thought they would have cars available and was told they did not know. So basically I was left with no transportation and out almost $300..

Ridiculous service, i rented cars many times in the US. Now at the advantex desk i was asked for a “international drivers licence” I said i never had to present that. But she couldn’t care. I stepped 5 steps to the right and found myself in front of the Alamo desk and luckily they had a car for me without an International license as do all the other rental companies. In 30 years of traveling i never ever experienced such a rude employee at the desk

Car smelled like cigarette smoke. Took 3 calls and 2 hours to make sure they didn't charge $240 to us for it. My passenger could not ride in it the smell was so bad. They sold my mom the $50 return car without filling it up to return. The tank doesn't even hold $50 worth of gas. They tried to have us cancel the insurance purchased from kayak and buy their insurance. Also to pay for toll pass although there were no tolls on our trip. I will not recommend them.

They did not give my deposit back, there's no way there's any damage/interior issues. Price gouging when people are stranded in an airport is also shameful. I will say the employees at Atlanta Airport were fantastic and helped everyone get their rental car as fast as they could in a stressful situation. Give all the money you gouged from me to them as bonuses if you're going to be thieves.

Very unorganized. Car was given to me with half a tank and when I returned it with half a tank they said it should have been full and charged me. Paperwork wasn’t done correctly and they couldn’t even give me a receipt at the drop off.

My wife and I had to wait outside in the cold for 1 hour in line to get my car. They did not have cars for people but they did have ours once we were able to get to the counter. Once we got the car, it smelled like someone had just been smoking marijuana in the car. The car was not completely filled with gas. When I returned the car, I was charged more than I was originally quoted. Budget charged me for rental insurance which I had declined. Budget did send me a copy of the receipt where they showed that I initialed for the coverage. It is my fault as after an hour of waiting outside in the cold, I just initialed where the agent told me too. That was my fault but Budget pulled a fast one on me to get that additional money. I tried to get them to refund me for that and they wouldn't. Budget will not get me ever again... as I will NEVER rent from them again. The customer experience was HORRIBLE!!

We still dont understand why all the info I already supplied to Kayak on the website, has to be manually input again by the lady behind the desk, this takes up so much time (from us and otheres in the line). Took 30' minute wait.

Reservation made but no cars available. Every other rental car company has 2-3 person lines if any at all, while budget was 20+ and I had to wait just for them to heard us outside and tell us there are no cars available. Had to stay in a hotel overnight instead. Go anywhere but here no matter the price, it isn’t worth it.

I was charged at check out $20 more than the amount as I was quoted as the final charge. However, I went to Customer Service on my car return and Customer Service Agent Micaela refunded the additional amount I was charged after seeing the original quote I had been given. I am grateful for her rectifying the issue for me.
