Pick up was very easy ,staff great. Drop off was easy, my only concern was the parking area not well lit. As a single female with drop off at 4am I would have felt safer with better lighting and security patrol in the area.

Customer service/roadside assistance was horrible. There was an issue with car and I had to call multiple times. I was told different things and also lied to about my options and told things that were not true by customer service to get me off the phone. It was also hard to reach the different offices near where I was having car issues. I think they should do more checks before renting out their cars.

I entered into the website that I needed a car from the airport and it directed me to an offsite location where I had to spend $30 on an uber to get to the car. I asked to switch to that location and they then said it would cost $300 more. If someone asks for airport pickup don't send them 10 miles away!

Everyone was friendly and helpful, they upgraded us to an suv free of charge since they didn’t have our reserved car which worked out well for the long drive in adverse weather conditions. Overall very happy experience!

Hertz location was permanently closed when I arrived for pickup! Received no communication from Hertz or Kayak that location had closed. Paid in full when booked and was not able to get another vehicle from any other car rental service.

When we arrived to pick-up our car from the Appleton, Wisconsin Hertz rental agency on 8/19/21, we were informed that Hertz had packed up and left on 8/13/21. They never contacted us to indicate what had occurred, either by phone, text or email. Our daughter was getting married on 8/21/21 and we did not have a car. We paid for the car, tried contacting them by phone, email and on their website. NO LUCK. Now, we are trying to get our money back. What happened to Hertz? Only Hertz knows and they aren't telling.

Rental agreement had to be redone onto paper forms as the national online system was down. As a result, car pickup was delayed. At drop-off I was informed that the credit card charge didn't go thru, so again a delay while the staff double checked the numbers. Looks like they wrote down a wrong digit or two. They were unable to confirm that their error was solved, so left to catch flight. I confirmed the credit card was fine, no issues, so the error was entirely with National.
