We had a reservation for a full size SUV 10 day rental from Seattle to Portland for approx. $1500. Upon arrival, we received a phone message that they did not have this SUV available and when we tried to reach them they were closed. They closed at noon and were also closed the next day. No ride. We called the 1-800 number and were told that another Seattle location would honor our reservation. At the airport Enterprise the line was a 3 hour wait. No kidding. A manager tried to help us and told us to return in the evening and he would have a SUV available. We Ubered ($) to our hotel and back in the evening. Another manager was working and said - no deal. We will have to charge you $2500 for the SUV. Very disappointing Enterprise! You are definitely taking advantage of the car shortage, but your customers will remember their treatment and not be using you in the future.

I found out I was driving a car which the tab was expired and because of that, they told me to change the car in the middle of my car rental. They told me I would need to pay extra because the car would be upgraded. After a long argument, I was able to keep the car with the expired tab. I also asked to add my husband for the additional driver but their response took so long that I had to drive by myself. I would not use this company ever again.

Overall was lied to by the guy working the desk. When picking up the car I was told I had paid too much money when scheduling rental online. So in order to get the "value" for what I had paid they told me they would add on the insurance and toll pass. Only to find out I would be billed extra for that later. Then I was told as long as I had the car back before they close I would only be charged one day. I had the car 26 hours and returned the car an hour and a half before they closed. Then I was still billed for having the car 2 days.

The desk staff was very helpful. Hicham made sure the car I received was clean, as the one I originally booked smelled of cigarette smoke. He gave me a different car without me even asking.

The customer service workers we dealt with were very kind and helpful

We had our flight changed and they wouldn't let us move the pickup location even though it was out of our control without upcharging us $650. We were then sent to the original the location the next morning after confirming a new pick up time. The location no longer existed. When we found our way to the next closest location, they said the reservation had passed its pickup time. When we finally got things fixed and got our car, when we returned it they upcharged for returning it to the open location and not the one that didn't exist because that was the one on the reservation. I would not recommend it!

The car itself is efficient and drives well. The pickup was poor: had to wait 10 minutes for agent to come to the door to check me out. The car was dirty inside and out and a few items were in the car from a previous renter. It seems to be a one man show at the pickup location. Not good at all.

The budget location was closed when we arrived, even though we were on time for our pickup. When I called budget to try and get a car at another location, they said they were completely booked out. I had to scramble to get a new rental from another company. Won’t be going back to Budget.

The tyres on our Mustang were so worn as to be unsafe. We discovered this when we had a puncture. We replaced all 4 tyres and Budget reimbursed us. But the car should never have been rented out with such tyres.

Will NEVER RENT FROM THIS SEATTLE LOCATION AGAIN! my assigned pick up time with 12 noon. I get there at 11:30, there’s about 20 people standing in a line. There are two windows for pick up. I get in the back of the line, and I start to hear conversation from others that have been waiting for two hours at this time. By the time I picked up my car, it was 2 o’clock. It was in a parking garage, and it was 90° day. Absolutely will not ever rent from thrifty in Seattle again.

I booked my car pickup for a Sunday, but when I arrived for it the location was closed. I immediately called customer service and they told me that it was their mistake and I would not be able to get a car.

Pick up was a nightmare- at least 100 people in line, while only 2 people working the counter. Next door Hertz was almost as bad (Thrifty is apparently owned by Hertz). Waited 1.5 hours in line to get the car I had already reserved and paid for. Will actively avoid Thrifty and Hertz for future rentals.

Our car was given away because we were a day late to pick it up due to a delayed flight and their closure time. We were told the only option was renting a luxury vehicle and paying extra, despite having already paid for our rental in advance for 6 days. It was not until we pointed out this was poor business and spoke with a manager and insisted that we would not be paying for a luxury vehicle we didn’t need, that were given a normal vehicle. We were still charged about $30 more than what kayak stated we’d be charged at pickup. Thrifty said this extra charge was a “hotel fee” for the building in which they were located. We were given no advance notice of this fee.
