Land Rover car rentals in Boulder

They never provided a car after accepting the reservation. Very bad service

The smell of Marijuana coming from the shop was very strong. One of the employees was talking about taking the rental cars racing every weekend. The did not accept debit cards one week, when they had the previous week. When I showed up for my vehicle, they had sent it out with another customer and had to myself and my 3 kids in a much smaller vehicle and then charged me for the larger vehicle. Will not be returning.

Was just more expensive than I expected.

Car was given to me with less than 1/8 gas in the tank. This makes it impossible for me to return it with that same amount unless I was driving it down to empty which is of course irresponsible. If you’re going to be so strict on gas policies it needs to go both ways, give me a car w a full tank so I can return it to full and bring it back, instead I’m sure the person that brought it back so close to empty was charged for it and I was “charged” by of course having pretty much no choice but to bring it back fuller. With gas prices as they are this is a burden, and I’ve never been given a rental car before with an almost empty tank. I’m a frequent renter at this location but this really makes me think twice about where to rent next time.

When I went to pick up the car, they had 14 reservations for zero available cars. No warning beforehand, I had to come up with a new plan to rent a car somewhere else on the spot.

+ Very fast drop off. + Good price. + Pleasant agent. - Low tire light was on but they said that was normal and didn’t do anything about it. We added air ourselves. - Very confusing and costly half-full-tank plan.

Got a call the morning of the rental to say our appointment was canceled. Not acceptable at all and got offered a $20 coupon for having to take a $100 uber to another rental location. Will not be using Budget.

I’ve never had an experience quite like this. At pickup, in Boulder, CO I was offered a Jeep Wrangler, rather than a Jetta type car that I’d reserved. After seeing the black boxy 4wd Jeep, I asked for something more comfortable on the road. Was given a Kia Forte sedan. There were a number of SUVs but was told that the one I pointed to had bad tires. I looked over the Kia before I left, but in the shadows, narrow space between cars and layer of dirt, I could not see 2 very large dents on both sides of the car. One was over 3’ long. Could see them as soon as I parked in the sun back home. No one answered at the local rental counter, but did reach helpful person on national line. Sent pictures of the car. No time to exchange car, and didn’t feel confidence that another one from that location would be any better. Car felt loose on road and easily shook in the wind. I returned the car at the Santa Fe airport where construction was underway and the car rental parking area was gone. I was the only person at the Budget/Avis counter where 2 employees stood. They asked if I had the mileage which I didn’t. They had no idea where the car was, just asked if it was in the general lot, took the keys and returned to their conversation. I asked for a receipt and told they’d just email me. Couldn’t be bothered to walk out the door with me to see the car and record the mileage. I just left.
