How to get to downtown Springfield from Springfield Train Station (SFY)?

Springfield Train Station, also called Springfield Union Station, is where most trains to Springfield arrive. This station is already located in the Metro Center district of downtown Springfield. Many of the most popular tourist attractions as well as shopping, dining, and entertainment venues are within this district, and most destinations are within walking distance. That being said, there are also plenty of PVTA local buses available at the union station. Buses G3, B6, and B7 can take you northeast toward the McKnight District. Buses G1 and G3 can take you east towards the Six Corners District. Buses G1 & G2 often head southeast toward the South End District. For more specific directions, it’s advisable to double check with train station staff or bus maps. If you’d prefer to use private transportation, then there are local taxis and ride-sharing services available as well.
