POPULAR STATION | Redding |

The Redding Train Station is where most trains to Redding stop when they’re passing through the city of Redding. The station itself is mainly a train platform with a covered shelter for passengers to wait for their Redding trains. Since that’s its main purpose, there are not a lot of services or amenities – no restrooms, vending machines, ATMs, or waiting rooms. However, across the street is the Downtown Transit Center, which has a few of those amenities including vending machines and restrooms. Since there is no staffed ticket office or Quik-Trak kiosk, it’s best to purchase your Redding train tickets online, through the app, or onboard the train. The train station is open 24h a day and most trains arrive late at night or early in the morning, so it’s recommended to check train schedules to arrive at the best time. Nearby parking lots are available for same-day and overnight parking.
The Redding Train Station is where most passengers on trains to Redding arrive. This station is conveniently located in downtown Redding, so most downtown destinations are within walking distance. That being said, some locations in the southern part of downtown can be quite far away. If you’d prefer to use public transport, then there are plenty of local RABA buses at the Downtown Transit Center just across the street from the Redding Train Station. Although it’s best to consult a map or ask the staff for the best route to your intended destination, a general rule of thumb is that Route 2E buses go to the east and Route 2W buses go to the west. Another option is to hire a taxi or get picked up by your favorite ride-sharing service.
