Train passengers who arrive at Houston Amtrak Station can make their way to downtown Houston quickly and conveniently with the help of Houston Metro. There is a Houston metro system within walking distance of the Houston Amtrak Station, where you can catch Bus 85 that departs several times each hour. The bus will take you over the Buffalo Bayou and into the heart of downtown Houston for just a few dollars. There is room on the bus for you to store your luggage during the short journey, and you will be dropped off at the Houston Metro station in the middle of the downtown area.
