Very good|Jul 2023
Disappointed that the car did not have a full tank, we did find old receipts of the previous customer in the car, but overall the experience wasn’t bad.

My flight was delayed, and when I arrived at the Dollar desk at the airport no one was there. No one was at the parking garage. I had to get a hotel room for the night and come back the next morning to get the car I'd reserved. It cost an extra $100. So much for saving money, right?

Guy at desk (Wendell) was really patient and helpful as we looked for an appropriate vehicle to drive to Queens from Pittsburgh after American unceremoniously left us with no recourse after cancelling a flight at 8pm on a Saturday night. anyway - thankful for people like Wendell at Dollar.

Very good|Apr 2023
The cars hood wasnt latched. Passenger side mirror was pushed in, as well as passenger side seat was all the way up to the dash board. I had to pull over to fix all of this. Car wasn't really big enough to be honest. Felt cramped for a week and it wasn't great on gas.
The staff was friendly and helpful at the airport. The car was clean and well maintained.

We arrived the night before our scheduled rental pick-up and the man at the desk worked with us to pick-up early. We were very grateful for that. We have no complaints or improvements to suggest.
Staff was friendly. Car was clean. Pittsburgh was short handed, so waited awhile. I was able to return car early at Saginaw airport. That was convenient for me. Friendly employee!

They upgraded me to a car I didn’t ask for, charged me twice what I originally planned, and then charged my credit card over $1000.00 after drop off.

I returned the car with a full tank of gas but I was still charged $63 for gas. I called Alamo and they issued me a refund, which I very much appreciate. But I should not have been charged for the gas. Hopefully this will not happen again.

This was my first time renting a vehicle. Alamo was wonderful! They very quickly and conveyed information very clear and concise.
Car given to me had a dead key fob, crack in windshield, low tire pressure light came on, and gas light door came on that it was open even though it was closed- within 30 min of driving the car these warning lights came on. Only had 1 person working at the desk and it was a 40 minute wait just to get the car and the line had tripled when I came back in and was not waiting in line again. Took the car an hour away from the airport where I was staying. Called Avis customer service 3 times and they refused to put me through to the branch close where I was staying, or the airport branch to see what cars I could exchange with. Went to the closer branch and the employee would not exchange my car stating he had none left bc of how many pickups he had that day. So then had to drive an hour back to the airport to exchange my car and an hour back to where I was staying. Absolutely ridiculous they would give me a car in that condition, and then a complete hassle to exchange it. Very displeased with Avis and will not be using them again

The agents in Pittsburgh and Burlington were all very helpful, nice, and efficient. However the car that they rented me had previously been rented by a chain smoker and then recently been bombed with "cherry flavored new car smell". The smell was absolutely putrid. Unfortunately I didn't realize the magnitude until I was too far down the road to turn back, at the beginning of a 20 hour drive up to Quebec and then back to Vermont. I spent 20 hours with a jacket and a hood on to stay warm, and all the windows of the car rolled down. It was miserable. My clothes all reeked of cigarettes and cherry perfume, and the smell eventually started to make my eyes and throat hurt - even with the windows down. Every second that I spent in that Avis rental car was dreadful, and I will do my best to never rent from Avis again.
They canceled our six-week two 15 passenger van rental, offered us no options, cost us thousands of dollars and a lot of inconvenience showing no remorse- after 10's of phone calls over three weeks time, at the last moment, they offered us incomparable vehicles (four 7 passenger vans- it was ridiculous, as if we had two extra drivers and could have our extra passengers commute some other way?). Due to high demand and very short notice, Budget helped us some and we had to BUY a van.

Reserved a mustang convertible (or similar). When it came time to pick up the car, my choices were SUV or pickup truck. My opinion, false advertising. Either don't offer what you can't deliver. Or, hold that specific vehicle in reserve, for such reservations. Quite disappointed.

i rented a 14 passenger van for a large family group vacation 7 months in advance and called every month to verify the rental. i called two days before arrival and was assured that the van would be available. at 10pm before the pickup next day, i received a call from enterprise and was told sorry, no van was available. never will I ever rent or recommend enterprise rent a car.

The Enterprise staff at Pittsburgh Airport was rude and took almost 45 minutes to get a car. They blamed broken tablets; but other customers were able to get their car quicker. Most of the workers stood huddled near the car exit, and not helping customers. The car given to me was dirty, and obviously had not been cleaned. They also did not give me the car I prepaid for, although it was on the lot. Instead they tried to give me a downgrade without acknowledging the lower rate.
