Everything was great

Person at drop-off claiming to be the owner of the location - he did NOT give me his name - was incredibly intense and rude about having the car cleaned before drop off. The car was clean - we only used it for 6 hours - but he insisted we get it fully washed or we would be charged $450. As I tried to show how clean it was by pulling out the car mats, he touched me to pull me back from the car and told me to get off his lot. It was a terrible and intense 15 min experience and I believe I was trying to be taken advantage of (other people at drop off felt the same way). I eventually just asked for my receipt and he told me he wouldnt charge me the $450 after all. I think there may be some sort of scam (in concert with the carwash) going on or there is just something very different about this location. I will NEVER rent from there again and I may never rent from Avis again because of this experience.

Hidden fees were added AFTER car return. Not explained, either.

Horrible dropoff experience in Philly. No signage explaining what to do. Pulled into lanes that looked like a place for cars to be left. There were a few people outside that saw me arrive but did nothing to help and quickly disappeared. Went inside to the counter and waiting in line for a while... only to finally get to the front and be told "oh you just have to leave the keys in the car and you can go." Terrible.

The location in downtown Boston instead of airport was the worst possible location. Traffic in Boston made it difficult to reach your office. Staff at office was good. Car was dirty when picked up.

Pick up took forever despite being Gold member. Long wait in vehicle line to get out of garage.

I was delayed because of storms and finally got to Boston around 330 am and the offices had closed at 130am so I had to wait an additional 2 and a half hours before I could try to pick up my rental. When it was finally time to pick up my car they took an additional hour getting cars “ready” for customers. The car I had had been cleaned in haste and there was still food and trash underneath the seats but at this point I was ready to just be on the road to my destination. When it was time to drop off the car I was charged an additional $113 dollars for taxes and surcharges which I thought was included with the initial rental. Knowing how Thrifty operates I will chose a different company from now on and will not refer them to anyone.

It took over 2 hours to pick up the car. There were 20+ people waiting in line and it took forever.

Car pick up was a disaster. One operator (doing his best) trying to serve over 50 customers waiting for a car. People were taking whatever next car came from the lot.

I was charged more than I was told by the emails I was sent by VIP rentals. Nearly double what I was told was due at pickup

Dollar does not have an app to speed the check in process. Terrible experience. 2 hour line

The pick up was very bad, we had to wait very long in line to just get the contract sorted, and then we had to wait just as long to get the car dropped off to us.

We showed up and they didn’t have a car for us, they said they were understaffed and they didn’t have any clean cars. I saw what looked like hundreds of cars in the Sixt area, but he said he was working alone and couldn’t help us…even if I took a dirty car. Horrible experience after flying all day, landing at midnight and having a tired 5 and 8 year old. Was horrible and don’t think I’ll use them again.

Made one way reservation via Kayak and Sixt would not honor it

Though car allocated was good and served its purpose, the whole relationship and experience was very frustrating even up till now. As I write, I have been over charged twice for tge rental and efforts to get the attention of your company to rectify the OBVIOUS anomalies have been frustrated. If I don’t get a quick and positive response for the correction, I may see legal redress in the nearest future. The first rental charge to my account on May 5, 2023 was $1,527.84 for the period April 29 - May 3rd, 2023. I complained in writing and visited your Boston office 3times to rectify it but met with frustration!!!!! The second charge to my account for the period May 3rd to June 10, 2023 was $2,122.86 posted to my account on June 12, 2023 ( transaction date, June 10,2023). This is very frustrating, unprofessional and should be corrected IMMEDIATELY!!! It is very unbecoming of an organization like SIXT. Have made several calls in the last 48hours for an urgent redress but got tossed around by your representatives that attended to the calls. I am very frustrated and it was a very bad experience for me. My fist dealing with SIXT for that matter. May be heading for a legal redress if I am still left unattended to.
