Convertible Car Rentals in Napa, California

The pick up in Napa was smooth and positive. The drop-off in San Jose was extremely poor. I was overcharged and had to follow up with customer service, who did an amazing job to solve the problem. The staff member at the San Jose location took an hour and a half to complete my check-in after telling me to “just drop the keys” because he was with another customer for 20 minutes while I waited. I was charged for the hour and a half that HE took to check in my car. I also left the gas tank FULL, and confirmed with him. He charged me for fuel as well. Not sure how he has a job.

Reserved a car for a driver’s return trip to Sacramento area and had a confirmation but when he got to Hertz in Napa they told him they didn’t have any cars. He took an Uber which ended up being half the cost

Made reservation 2 weeks ahead of time. Office called me the morning of rental to say that they did not have a vehicle, nor could they offer me a replacement.

No car was available when I arrived at Hertz. I had already paid for my insurance through Allianz which I am disputing. Terrible experience!

It was an Ultra busy day. There were no car rentals available when I got there and had to wait 2 hours for somebody to drop off a car. The people in front of the line got the last vehicle and they didn’t even have a reservation. I reserved the night before thru Kayak via priceline and my reservation did not reserve the last vehicle. Despite being very busy, the staff was very nice and professional; however, the booking process failed. I am not sure where in the process, but it is enough to switch booking cites from Kayak to Google. I previously gave Kayak feedback and Kayak did not take note of the feedback and only blamed the customer for Kayak’s wrong doings. I have correspondence emails of the back and forth between me and kayak customer support that continues to blame the customer for Kayak’s fault and made zero effort to make the changes. For the past 15 years, I have used Kayak. This will be the last time I use Kayak as another military member recommended a better cite. It is easy to strip loyalty and respect and harder to regain that respect.
