Could have been told upfront about not accepting debit card without airline traveling. Big waste of my time.

Car was not cleaned before I picked it up. McDonald's bag with rotting food in back floor. Candy wrappers, empty pop bottles, some aerosol can under seats, floors obviously not vacumed. PLUS they charged me almost $20 more than reservation made on line.

Customer service was excellent! Very friendly and helpful! Got an upgrade to a midsize car!

About 24 hours after pickup, the low tire air pressure light came on. I went to the local service station and filled up the tire, and it was fine. It would have been no big deal, except this happened to me twice now in the last year and a half from this rental agency in this location, except the first time the tire actually had a leak, and I ended up putting the spare tire on after contacting them, because I didn't have time to wait for them. I was not offered any discount for the inconvenience...

Car rode rough, don't like no key operation.

I had a great time. Thanks for the 'upgrade'. However, customer service could be better during drop-off. The gentleman there wasn't very helpful when I was trying to report a small accident.

Car with clean easy check out and easy return people were very courteous no hidden charges very pleased

I was given an upgrade since what I had rented was not available like it should have been. I was very pleased with my rental and the ease of retrieving the vehicle. The return of the vehicle was a little different due to a new parking lot being built, which I totally understand the small inconvenience. This was my first time to rent from Palos and I’m very pleased with experience. I will definitely rent from them again!!

We paid to rent a standard size suv, it showed example Cherokee. When we got to Springfield airport and waited in line 30 minutes, she said they don't have Cherokee's at this location and gave us a Chevrolet Trax, which is a small suv, our family of 5 and suitcases would not fit in it. We went back into airport and she offered a Tahoe for $60 per day more. We finally got the Tahoe for $20 per day more. The way most car rentals do, when they can't provide you with what you rented they automatically upgrade to the next size rented. So disappointed that they don't keep there committment.

All in all, we were impressed with the front desk service we received from Hertz. I am not as impressed with the telephone CS we received. We made the mistake of assuming that Hertz, like the other three car rental agencies we've dealt with, wouldn't charge for additional drivers. And I feel like this should have been plainer up front. When I learned that joining Hertz Gold-Plus Rewards would have saved us that fee, I enrolled in it and then attempted to add the existing rental to the membership. But it didn't work. I then reached out via phone to see if there as a workaround. There was not, according to the CSA I spoke with and I was stuck with what I had. However, when we went to the agency to pick up the car, and I set about adding my husband to the contract, the customer service agent there, happily added the rental to the membership and we were able to rent that car without further fees. Also, for the first time ever, we damaged a rental car. It was relatively minor (damaged bumper), but because we'd added the Loss-Damage-Waver, we weren't on the hook for any of the repairs. This was a huge relief. The vehicle was great--very comfortable and met our needs beautifully. Very satisfied with this.

Didn't honor reser

I booked a car and when it came time to pick it up there wa no car available for me. I had to spend an additional $600 to find a car to use. Horrible experience. Will not use Hertz ever again.
