First off - I selected Hertz for this rental because of the rate and convenient location. And on both of those fronts it worked out well. That said, the 'upgraded' car I was assigned was 'well-used' to put it mildly (lots of dings, scratches, etc. on the exterior; and pretty gross on the inside with stains on the headliner & other fabric surfaces). Pickup & drop-off were very easy & quick - but unfortunately I didn't catch that the car was not full of gas until after I left the lot, and the agent was unable(?!) to make any adjustment to the price when I returned it full. (Disappointing, but shame on me for not noticing / dealing with it when I picked it up.)

My husband was with me at pickup and he was not allowed to be put on the agreement as second driver because we used a third party to rent. This is atrocious! We were also not given any pertinent info about tolls or anything else. Keys and contract handed over abd that was that.

I paid extra to get an economy car (price for a "pot luck" rental where the agency chooses the car was about $10 less) and when I got to the counter they had none and tried to get me to take an SUV. I ended up having to take an Intermediate (Chevy Cruze), which cost me more in gas. Why did I pay extra? Staff was rude and unfriendly. SUV they gave me had been smoked in and reeked, but they denied that and only gave me the Cruze after I complained. Fuel tank was not full.

I was not given the car that I reserved. Instead the attendant switched me to a car that he told me was just dropped off from the East coast of FL where there was an apparent gas shortage. He told me that there was a quarter tank left and that I could return it with the same amount of gas. I got in the car and there was less than 30 miles to empty. The mileage and gas on the paperwork was incorrect, and they were too lazy to go get gas in the car, so they pawned it off on me instead of giving me the rental I reserved. I also wasn't told that the business closes early on Saturday. We told them that we planned to return it by 4pm. They put 2pm on our paperwork and they were already closed by the time we got there. There was no drop box for the keys. We ended up being charged until 9am the next morning instead of giving us the option of getting the car back to them in time on Saturday. I will not be using this company again. The entire process was poorly handled.

The car smelled bad and had lots of stains. It seemed like it had a surface clean done, but it still seemed pretty dirty. It also only had a quarter tank of gas when I picked it up so I had to stop and fill it up. I ended up paying more in gas than I would have needed to had the gas tank been full upon pickup.

The people working in this location is very rude and unprofessional. They always charging some extra money in gas over $ 20.00 to $30.00 illegally. I drop the car in full tank but when I saw my receipt I saw they added $ 27.00 for Gas but they didn't say any word when they check out, not even they go outside for physical verification. I never go there in future.
