I was told no smoking in the vehicle, it would be a $250 fine. No problem, I don’t smoke. When we opened the vehicle’s doors the smell of stale cigarettes hit us immediately, and the upholstery was covered in cigarette burns. It was disgusting. I went up to the kiosk to complain and all they said was they’d make a note of it on my paperwork. I won’t be renting from them again.

Rental indicated that they had 24 hours service - they did not. When flight was rescheduled for next day and I called to tell them, they would not guarantee the car I had paid in advance for, or any car, would be available despite having reserved and paid in advance for a car for 4 days. Also said I that if i did get there the next day more than 12 hours past the original time the rental would not be valid because it would have already been canceled in their system and I would have to make a new reservation. This is even though i was calling to let them know my rescheduled flight was 24 after the original cancelled flight. They said they could not hold a car even though I had already paid and could not give me a refund for any portion of my money. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN and will make it my personal mission to let everyone I know what a terrible experience Europcar/Fox Rental Car was.

2 hour wait in line and then van wasn’t available. Fox upsells to larger vehicles because they don’t have reserved vehicle availability

They didn't have the car I reserved and I was charged more at the counter to get the same size car. If a car rental company doesn't have the reserved car, an upgrade should be provided for free. The agent at the desk told me he was unable to do this standard industry practice.

The cars we were given were in terrible condition- We left the lot in one car that had parts falling off of the interior and rattling sounds in the dashboard. We came right back (customer service was friendly). They traded this car in for another - old beat up car that was in poor condition.

There was no one at the rental place or kiosk when our flight arrived an hour late at 12:30am. So my kids and I were stranded. I’ll never use you again and want a refund.
