BMW car rentals in Staten Island

I had given flight number and my car was reserved at the wrong airport. I called Alamo and they told me I was out of luck. So I got gauged by Avis

Easy to Order but the 1/2 hr wait for counter staff to work without internet was a pain. Staff were doing their best at the time. Just lucky it was a sunday

I was pleased with everything except that they marked off the on me the same minute windshield ding that was noted in the previous damages list when I picked up the car, presumably because I had added insurance, so they can file another claim. Possibly just an error, but judging from the previous reviews it seems suspicious.

I was very pleased with the unexpected SIGNIFICANT upgrade -- I originally had booked a convertible, expecting just a Mustang convertible, so you can only imagine how happy I was when I arrived at the counter and was upgraded to a relatively brand new BMW Z4 at the same rate! Even better, with the original reservation, I would have had to return the car the next day by 7:30PM to the Orlando Airport and be charged two days' rate (my pick up was at 5PM Saturday, needing to return by 7:30PM Sunday and otherwise see a MASSIVE rate hike from ~$150 to ~$600). However, because of the change in vehicles, I could return it on Monday by 5PM for the original rate of ~$150 at the hotel I was staying in, saving me a LOT of hassle. I imagine Sixt may have lost some money with my reservation, but a great experience from start to finish.for me!

It was such a pleasure walking into the Rent-A-Car company, and immediately accosted with a beautiful smile and offer of coffee or drinks. What a pleasant experience.!! Everyone was delightful. It's the little things that make people want to return to a business offering a service. I will definitely talk about my experience at six with all my friends and I will definitely rent from them again.

The attendant left early so I called Avis and was told I needed to return next morning and my reservation would be adjusted with apologies. I arrived next morning and the same attendant insisted he didn’t leave early the day before and said they was no reservation and I ahead to make another reservation at a much higher rate. Total scam. Extremely rude. I tried calling Avis and of course the 1 800 number had a pre recording to call back on Monday. I had no alternative but to be robbed. If you ever call Avis don’t get off the phone until you receive your confirmation email. Absolute nonsense.
