BMW car rentals in Somerville

I had given flight number and my car was reserved at the wrong airport. I called Alamo and they told me I was out of luck. So I got gauged by Avis

Easy to Order but the 1/2 hr wait for counter staff to work without internet was a pain. Staff were doing their best at the time. Just lucky it was a sunday

I was pleased with everything except that they marked off the on me the same minute windshield ding that was noted in the previous damages list when I picked up the car, presumably because I had added insurance, so they can file another claim. Possibly just an error, but judging from the previous reviews it seems suspicious.

I was very pleased with the unexpected SIGNIFICANT upgrade -- I originally had booked a convertible, expecting just a Mustang convertible, so you can only imagine how happy I was when I arrived at the counter and was upgraded to a relatively brand new BMW Z4 at the same rate! Even better, with the original reservation, I would have had to return the car the next day by 7:30PM to the Orlando Airport and be charged two days' rate (my pick up was at 5PM Saturday, needing to return by 7:30PM Sunday and otherwise see a MASSIVE rate hike from ~$150 to ~$600). However, because of the change in vehicles, I could return it on Monday by 5PM for the original rate of ~$150 at the hotel I was staying in, saving me a LOT of hassle. I imagine Sixt may have lost some money with my reservation, but a great experience from start to finish.for me!

The station agent, Chris McNiel, really bailed me out (I had made an error on the reservation). Couldn’t have been more helpful. He’s a great ambassador for the company.

The agents and company overall are crooked. The agent had me agree to several additional items but wasn’t transparent about the full amount that I would be paying. For example, the agent told me that insurance would cost an additional $26, but when I checked my receipt, I was charged ~$52 for the day + 4 hours I was renting the vehicle, which he did not indicate would be the case. To further support my point about their lack of transparency, the agent told me that he would pre-charge me for a half tank of gas since it was 3/4 full when I received it, however, I was charged for a full tank of gas. And now, they’re trying to get more money out of me for using their express checkout.
