|May 2023Too many airport and extra charges. The web site gives a good car rental price but then in the store the price change.

|Feb 20231.I rented a car for $112 at pickup time 10am. I made a modification for 6am and the price when up to $184.68. And I agree with the changes. When I got there the modifications didn’t appear on my reservation. 2.I reserved the car for $184.68. When I got there they told me that was an estimation and I had to pay almost $500. 3.my credit card had car insurance, Payless didn’t accept it so I have to choose their insurance and pay the new amount. 4.Online Payless NEED to be transparent with the costumers and not lying to us just to get more money. I had the chance to get other car a little cheaper for that busy week from a more known company and at the airport but, I took my chances and rented from you although I read online bad reviews. At the end, the cheapest things always cost me more. I will never rent again from online Payless.

|Feb 2024We got a Mitsubishi Mirage and it ran like absolute garbage. Sounded like it was going to break down any minute. We had to fill the tires up multiple times. You get what you pay for, and we paid a very low price. Only real complaint is that it took almost 45 minutes to get picked up at the airport by their shuttle driver. But we were dropped back off promptly on our way back.

|May 2023Thank you for ensuring we knew our at home insurance policy. This could have been disastrous if anything were to happen. Unfortunately, our car was filthy on the inside it wasn’t cleaned at all. We placed our bags in the back seat and in the door handle was someone’s fake fingernail from before us. The entire inside of the car was dirt / sand.

|Apr 2023We made a mistake on pick up time and they were very accommodating to finding us another vehicle.

|Mar 2023the process for picking up the car could have been better. i felt uncomfortable going through the process versus "larger named" car rentals. waited at airport for a very long time while trying to call them for instructions on where to go to pick up the car

|May 2023The car had roaches and had a lot of stains in the seats. After dropping it back at the airport and got our receipt online we noticed charges like the LDW that we got through the app and the lady at the airport took notice when we picked the car. In total they charged $199.92 for the LDW. They also charged for Roadside assistance and Personal Protection which we never asked or wasn’t offered. I will never use Thrifty again. I called their number in San Juan airport (787)253-2525 to file a claim and it took them 25 minutes to answer the call. Horrible service.

|Sep 2022The service was great. Super easy pick up and drop off. The bad part was the car seemed to have an electrical problem. I used the car play and everytime we went over a slight uneven road it would disconnect the phone, not using the using and using the usb, which caused distraction to driving.

|May 2022I paid for Allianz life insurance for $11/day separately and then was also charged coverage of $25/day (basically the same daily rental price as the car) on top of that so it was double what I expected. Probably will dispute the charge.

|Jan 2022The Thrifty counter at the airport was closed so we picked up from Hertz. Simple enough. The car was adequate, but the key fob rarely worked and it was frustrating to have to manually open the doors. We were only given one key and the key ring was braided metal with a loose piece that pricked my finger several times. The Corolla may also need brake work as they vibrate when pressed on downhill sections of the highway.

|May 2023We'll definitely dispute the charges on the credit card - the car broke down twice and upon our return we were informed that hertz would us call us to ascertain this issue. We got a bill sent to us via email and the phone call from them hasn't happened. We're upset 😡

|Aug 2022The size car we paid for was unavailable so we ended up in a small car instead. And due to that it was a waste of money because we were overcharged.

|May 2022I like how no one would ever take my complaint seriously. I locked the key in the car and had to find a locksmith to get it open. When I called the company, they told me the information to get local service was on the rental agreement. I explained that the rental agreement was locked in the car! To this date, I've still not heard from them.

|Mar 2025After having a van reserved for months, upon arrival they told me they no longer rent them and they tried to offer me 2 vehicles to drive 9 people around all week. The sales people were horrible and claim that they had called me several times about the rental which was a lie based on phone records. The company sent me several confirmations and never cancelled the reservation. At the last minute I had to scramble and find a different rental while my group waited at the airport. Horrible!
