Toyota car rentals in Phoenix

Wasn’t able to get a car from budget. There wait time was bout 2hrs so I went to the nearest counter; NU Rental

Budget sucks. They advertise one price then you get slammed with a “we’ll reconcile the rest of this math later” price at the end and it is far more expensive than you initially planned on. Wouldn’t recommend. All the extra hidden “airport fees” and taxes is absolutely criminal.

Comfortable car with amazing gas mileage for a mon-hybrid. Rental process was easy at a good price. Our only frustration was with tire sensor going off often, even after filling air to specs.

Avis was great easy pick up and drop off, the car we got was clean and in great condition over all. We realized towards the end of our rental days that the spare tire was flat we luckily we didn’t need to use it.

Easy process,clean car

I was so pleased with everything! The rental car agent was awesome. He helped me with an accidental booking at the wrong location and got me a car at the airport right away instead. The car was clean, comfortable and even nicer than I expected. Return was easy. The price was reasonable for the city and length of stay!

The wait to pick up was very long, almost an hour, just one person at the counter and he was running from the Payless computer to the Avis computer , that was the most irritating. I’m not difficult on the car as long as it has 4 wheels a steering and AC But to comment, the seats were stained, the body was dented and scratched all over which I guess is a good thing nobody will want to steal it. The exhaust was rattling on ideal but only heard it if the windows were down Price was good and that’s what counts to me

They gave me exactly the car I needed for my trip. It was clean, efficient, and easy to drive.

The price is very good but it takes a long time to deliver the car

Several dozen people were told that they ran out of cars and that we would have to either wait 2 plus hours for returns or go to another rental agency. This is complete failure on management to plan, especially for an airport location. I ended up paying DOUBLE for my rental because of their incompetencies.

Pick up process at Phoenix Rental Car Centre is terrible … the wait at counter is ALWAYS too long - with not enough staff… Once you actually get to the counter, the sign up process seems too complicated and takes a long time, and finally when you go downstairs to pick up your car, we had to wait another full HOUR to get our car because there wasn’t enough vehicles to supply the demand… I wish this was only a single occurrence but it has happened the 5 times we’ve gone through Phoenix rental car centre -

3hour wait to get checked in and then 2 hour wait for a car. Only had one person processing rental cars. Staff said it was the same way last year for this time of year. They already knew they were going to be busy so they Should have had more staff on duty.

I do not recommend this company I had a terrible experience with CarWise. From the beginning, they were unclear and misleading about their policies. They claimed the rental had limited mileage, but that turned out to be false. On top of that, they charged several unexpected fees without explaining what they were for. When I tried to ask for help or clarification, the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I ended up paying way more than I expected — fees on top of fees — and it felt like they were just trying to take advantage of me. This company is not trustworthy. They are tricky, shady, and absolutely not customer-focused. I deeply regret choosing CarWise. If you can, rent from a different company. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Car was a little dirty

The staff of National was very helpful.

With National membership it was nice to skip the rental desk and just pick an available car. The problem was that they didn't have the car type that we reserved, so we were told to just pick any car in the Emerald Aisle. I had to call National twice after rental completed because they severely overcharged us vs. the agreement/reservation we had made.

The process was very smooth and the car was as promised.

Great customer service! Little bit of a wait, but much better than a prevous wait time in another state. Friendly shuttle staff. Overall, good experience.

They need more signage at pick up point…the safe was mostly friendly but they had some sort of situation that had them behind when I arrived so I waited almost an hour to be helped even though I had filled out all paperwork on line and uploaded all necessary documents. Once I got the vehicle- it was beautiful and the staff that delivered the car was the nicest person!! When I returned the vehicle, the place was closed so I had to arrange for an Uber, which #1, the location is in a little bit of a sketchy area and #2 I don’t like getting an uber by myself as a single woman… but the key drop box was easy to see and the uber driver was very pleasant. I think if you accept a drop off before your hours, someone should be there and shuttle provided. Even though I had no issue other then waiting and the drop off, I will probably rent from the terminal since they are there and no shuttle would be needed if my flight hours differ from their operational hours.

They did not have a car available even after having a reservation for weeks in advance. Had to rent from another company.
