BMW car rentals in Fremont

I had given flight number and my car was reserved at the wrong airport. I called Alamo and they told me I was out of luck. So I got gauged by Avis

Easy to Order but the 1/2 hr wait for counter staff to work without internet was a pain. Staff were doing their best at the time. Just lucky it was a sunday

I was pleased with everything except that they marked off the on me the same minute windshield ding that was noted in the previous damages list when I picked up the car, presumably because I had added insurance, so they can file another claim. Possibly just an error, but judging from the previous reviews it seems suspicious.

I was very pleased with the unexpected SIGNIFICANT upgrade -- I originally had booked a convertible, expecting just a Mustang convertible, so you can only imagine how happy I was when I arrived at the counter and was upgraded to a relatively brand new BMW Z4 at the same rate! Even better, with the original reservation, I would have had to return the car the next day by 7:30PM to the Orlando Airport and be charged two days' rate (my pick up was at 5PM Saturday, needing to return by 7:30PM Sunday and otherwise see a MASSIVE rate hike from ~$150 to ~$600). However, because of the change in vehicles, I could return it on Monday by 5PM for the original rate of ~$150 at the hotel I was staying in, saving me a LOT of hassle. I imagine Sixt may have lost some money with my reservation, but a great experience from start to finish.for me!

Other than a bit long in pick up time...seems all the agents were at lunch at the same time the experience was quite good. They agents were very friendly and helpful at both ends of the run. I required a vehicle to haul some things from California to Arizona one way. Not enough to consider a Uhaul (to expensive even for the smallest truck) and at half the price made this the perfect choice. The pickup handled well and was comfortable for the 800 mile ride.

Being able to extend at the same low rate would have been ideal.

The car vi rented had some severe issues with the breaks. Every time we would break, the whole car would shutter. Probably warped break rotors. It was quite scary at times as our road trip was going through some mountain areas. We could not swap the car either, as we had packed it with several stuff as our road trip was for moving purposes. The stuff we had in the car took forever to pack since it had to be strapped down and secured etc.
