The Hotel Vejlefjord is surrounded by beech trees and overlooks the forest, which is why it’s often called “the castle in the forest.” Built in 1900 as a tuberculosis sanitarium, the hotel now offers a large spa with rain showers, thermal baths, and saunas. The hotel is a 30-minute drive from the Vejle town center, while Aarhus is about an hour away.
Free parking and baggage storage are included at the Hotel Vejlefjord, along with free high-speed Internet access. If you are on a work trip, you can make use of the business center, conference facilities, and meeting rooms at the hotel. There are both indoor and outdoor pools where you can relax and a fitness center with modern equipment.
The Hotel Vejlefjord has 93 nonsmoking guest rooms and suites, including double rooms, grand-lit rooms, and suites. Each space is decorated in a modern but comfortable style. Some rooms come with balconies over the forest and park nearby. Your room will include a fireplace, a flat-screen television, and a work desk. There is a private bathroom that comes with complimentary toiletries.
The Brasserie has an elegant design with chandeliers, soft chairs, and planed wood floors. A simple breakfast is available each morning, along with an evening ala carte menu. Within five miles, you can find a selection of other restaurants for your dining desires. The Waffle & Pancake House, Hyrup Kro Restaurant, and Galionen are just a few of them.
You can reach Brejning Church in 3.5 miles, or head to the Kellers Minde museum closer to the hotel. Other attractions in the area are Belle Kunst art gallery and Rosenvold Havn Pier.
