Katra is the small Himalayan town that serves as the base for the revered shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, set in the Trikuta hills of Jammu and Kashmir. Here, the Best Western Swing High Katra, Katra, India, offers a warm, thoughtfully appointed base for pilgrims and travellers, and a springboard to getaways like Patnitop and the road to Leh, amid some of the region's most uplifting scenery. The rooms and suites are comfortably appointed with modern conveniences for a relaxed, home-away-from-home stay. An all-vegetarian multi-cuisine restaurant sits at the lobby level, while a spa, sauna, steam room, and exercise room offer space to recover after the climb to the shrine, and a well-appointed multipurpose hall with its own kitchen handles events and gatherings of every kind. The mountain setting and clean air make the stay as restorative as it is convenient. As the day's pilgrimage comes to an end, the cool tranquility of the Trikuta Hills offers a peaceful setting to relax and recharge.
