Cold Lake spreads along one of Alberta's largest lakes in the province's northeast, an outdoor lover's paradise of boating, fishing, and big-water sunsets, anchored by a major air force base. The Best Western Cold Lake Inn, Cold Lake, Canada, puts you right in the middle of it, with the privacy and ease of a true getaway. Every room is non-smoking and made to feel like home, and if you're travelling with little ones they'll love the spacious pool and waterslide, the perfect way to cool off and relax. An on-site restaurant and lounge round out the stay. Spend a day at the Cold Lake Marina or the provincial park, take in the famous summer air show, or pick from a range of golf and skiing options, with the military base and the area's oil and construction companies close for business. Let the lake and the long northern light close the day.
