Was expecting and had originally booked a Mercedes G class. Dollar had given me a Minivan. Also, was asked to buy additional insurance besides what I had paid with Kayak booking.

Gas tank wasn't full at pickup. I returned the tank full as the agreement called for in the rental agreement. They failed to credit me the extra cost for gas I paid for. The "Due For Service" light remained on during the 5-day rental period.

I was charged a bunch of things that I didn't even know I was signing for I rented a car that cost me over $800 for 4 days all because I asked for a car with a GPS in it and this is the only one they had available. I cannot afford this now I'm in debt

The original vehicle we reserved ended up not having enough cargo space for our items, so we upgraded to the next class, but the upgrade pricing was not clearly described, even though the desk agent was very helpful. It ended up costing about $200 more than I expected. Next time, I will ask more questions, as I was under the impression that the upgrade price I was given at the counter was the full price, including what I had already paid. In reality, the upgrade price at the counter was on top of the $200+ that was pre-paid to lock in the original price. Other than that, the upgraded vehicle worked out perfectly.

Thrifty shuttle to rental facility - took too long to arrive, was overfilled, driver didn't have air on and was playing very annoying music over the stereo. Had to wait for a car to be ready. Charged $50 extra for windowshield crack. Some truck that was two lanes over threw a rock up at my windowshield when it was changing lanes, not my fault.

Awful. Save yourself stress and rent from another company besides Budget and Avis. Had a reservation and waited an hour in their line to get to the counter to be told they had no car for me. Waited 2 more hours with little kids after flying all day to be given a complete junker, literally, with half the handle missing and electrical wires hanging out near the foot pedals. Awful, awful, the staff were horrible too. Will never rent from them again.

There was nothing to like. I made a reservation the morning before and when I got to the airport there were no cars left. What's the point of making a reservation if they aren't going to honor it??? NEVER WILL TRY TO USE THEM AGAIN.

The child/infant car seat options were not great (understandable) and many were broken. I had to sort through quite a few to find a decent one. Other than that it was a great experience. Thank you.

The whole experience was great. From booking, to shuttling from the airport, car pickup, drop off and the whole staff along the way. The only reason I didn’t give a higher rating is because the car I received was a literal POS. I was embarrassed to even be seen with it.

Picking up the car was incredibly smooth. I was afraid I would have to sit there waiting on the shuttle for a long time but both times it was ready to go. Bus drivers were very friendly and funny. Getting my car took ten minutes max and dropping it off took 5 minutes. Everything went much better than expected. The car was clean and perfect for my needs. All in all a great rental experience.

Due to several flight changes by no fault of my own, I had to cancel my trip hours before I was to pick up the car. I tried desperately calling from the airport but the person could not find my Payless confirmation number in her system. It wasn't until the next day that I was able to call the Payless office and it was too late then. Please do penalize the Payless facility but I won't be using Kayak again with the no refund policy.
