Wonderful|May 2022

The pick up was easy, the location is reasonable for those in the area and we were able to leave our luggage with the bell hop until we were ready to leave the hotel because we got the rental there while we went to the casino and had lunch even though we didn’t stay at that hotel.

Smallest detail, but it was a little weird to receive the car with 1/2 tank of gas and the stated expectation that we return it that way. We ended up overfilling upon our return, and so it cost us an extra $20. Would have been avoided if we started and ended with a full tank as seems more customary. But overall the Enterprise experience was smooth and easy.

There is nothing good about renting from Avis. When the local branch was NOT helpful, rude, and called me names I won't put on here. When calling corporate for "help", that was even worse. They would just talk over you and tell you to figure it out. I was trying to get them their car back and they had no information to give me on how to do so. Gave me a key that wasn't even for that car so the alarm went off every time I opened the door. They said numerous times a manager would call me back, but months later never did. DO NOT rent from Avis!!!! They have NO idea how to have customer service or help people.

The service in Cieba was fast. We returned the car in San Juan to a parking lot in the Convention center and we’re a little unsure…signage was poor.

We were offered a van instead of the small car we had reserved. It was a gas hog and difficult to manuver. Also, the vehicle had not been cleaned since the previous renter. At drop off, we discovered that the office was pretty much hidden, and is only open 4 hours a day (8am-12pm).

There was no one to process returns - a long line of cars waiting and no one to be seen after waiting nearly 10 minutes. Most of us just left. Otherwise, rental process was fine and Avis was accommodating in changing return site.
