It should be made clear up front when purchasing the rental online that there is an additional liability insurance you have to pay when picking up the rental car. This was hidden deep down into the confirmation email. I had to have the representative tell me over the phone where to find it. My rental premium ended up being double what I originally thought I would be paying. I'm not happy at all about this and will not be using them again.

Arrived at rental location and Mex Car Rental representative told me there are no cars available and nothing is expected in the near future. He told me that I should contact the broker - Qeeq. com (site where I booked the car) and ask for the refund. No alternative was offered. So, I had to find another rental myself, spending over $100 to fix other peoples errors. Worst car rental experience in my life. Avoid at all costs!!

We changed the reservation and when we arrived there were no cars. This was disappointing. The man working at Budget was very nice and sorry. But he had no cars.

We loved that the car was fully electric. The service was also outstandingly good. The owner was fast, friendly, and didnt try to force us to buy anything we didnt need. Easy dropoff too, so we could catch our flight. The location was slightly inconvenient, as it's not inside the airport, but about a 4 minute walk across the street, rolling our bags etc. I will still rent from here next time we're in Cozumel.

One of the worst customer service experience They quote me one price in Chicago and double the price when I got to Cozumel Will most certainly not recommend The car was old and ragged missing one hub cap The ac was mediocre and didn't function properly It's absolutely a rip off

Ad said located on the airport. I had to hike about a quarter of a mile to get to their office.. Ad lied as there were other car rental companies in the terminal. I was given a car with dings and scratches that were noted when I took the car but I was charged for additional damage that I certainly did not do ands might have been on the car at the start.. I was forced to pay for additional insurance that was not part of the quoted price. I have my own insurance but was still forced to pay about $100 more or walk back to the airport and rent from someone else.

They had no car despite the booking being confirmed. Could not offer any service or help. And they have closed their office on Cozumel. My advice, avoid them

This experience was awful. The address that I got from the Cozumel office was wrong. The office did not exist. I called 3 times the Alamo office on the mainland (playa del Carmen). They hung up on me twice. After searching for 2 hours in the burning sun I got help from locals and after I found the office which was on another location we waited for 30 minutes in front of an empty Alamo office until the very ignorant franchisee guy told us he has no car for us. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I never had such an awful experience renting a car.

We had a reservation and met Rafael just as we exited the ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. He was very friendly and helpful and also spoke great English. Our car was ready immediately and was very clean. Drop off was quick and easy as well. Definitely recommend! Gracias Rafael!

Daily rental rate was not as I was quoted for the reservation and no one will respond to the issue. I had the email indicating the rate and was told to talk to Alamo who I can’t contact by phone from here
