Car rentals at Chicago Union Airport

Guys working at the enterprise were great to deal with.

Great customer service and convenience

Had a booking for a 9am pick-up but there were no cars available so had to wait until past 10to get a car.

Drop off in Philly was a bit of a mess, but overall it was a delightful experience.

The guy in Chicago couldn't care less if we rented a car or not...told us at 10am the car wasn't ready and to come back at 12 but not too close to 12 because they close...car wasn't washed or cleaned, smelled like smoke and kid inside said car has been there for 3 days...no washer fluid, really bad blades and wantd us to drop off at a different location in town than we indicated....when we called him about that and saw it on sheet he couldn't care less...said call Budget HQ...I want my money back! I want an apology...i want something for the time, trouble, smokey car, bad wipers and overall incompetence of the company

Outside of vehicle wasn't too clean, but inside was very clean. Friendly staff.

The undisclosed manager's special's vehicle was a full size pick-up truck - a Dodge 1500 - much to my surprise. The daily rental cost was a great value for the money, but the cost of fuel was substantially higher than I had budgeted, given that I was anticipating a vehicle with a much smaller engine at this price point. The initial QR code I was given to exit the parking garage in the Chicago Loop also did not work, leading me to remain stuck for several minutes at the exit gate until I was able to get through to a human being at Hertz and explain my situation. The second QR code I was given opened the gate immediately. The 1500.Dodge Ram was offered at an extremely low daily for this make and model of truck, though I was not expecting to drive such a large vehicle in and out of downtown Chicago where parking for vehicles of this size can sometimes be difficult, not to mention the savings I earned from lower rental costs were offset by the costs of refueling a vehicle that only averaged 17 mpg.

Convenience. The office was in awful shape; not clean or inviting.
