I chose Thrifty because I thought they would be a reliable company. Instead they turned out to be the biggest scammers and most costly option. I reserved the rental bc it said my total price would be $36 for 2 days. When I arrived to receive my rental, it ended up being over double the price. Usually we are given the option to opt in or out for insurance. They did not give me this option and insisted I be charged for insurance. To make matters worse, I was given a very old car.. I requested for it to be switched which they accommodated for. When I checked out the car, I was charged nearly $400 for damages.. for a small crack in the bumper. What was the point of me paying for insurance? What was supposed to be a $36 purchase ended up being over $500. A true nightmare!!! I will never be renting from Thrifty again!!! Worst company ever.

Booked car on a Tuesday. Someone Called me an hour before pickup time on Friday to tell me they were sold out; completely derailed my business travel for the day. Unacceptable.

We pre-booked 2 front-facing carseats for our little ones (ages 2 and 3) in a medium-sized car (I had to call after we booked online as there wasn't an option to book more than one car seat). When we arrived to the rental place, they did not have any info of me requesting 2 carseats. The price of the medium sized car shown online was not the same rate it was in person and you get a smaller car than advertised. They didn't have any carseats for us and was told "you'll be fine, you're on the island no one uses carseats here". Prepare for no carseats or bring your own!
