I just accepted the noon pickup time not realizing the store closed at noon. I got there at 12:45 the store was closed. The workers were still in the store, but they refused to rent me the car. I paid for insurance and I need the money back. The confirmation email did not have the stores hours in it. When I spoke with Hertz customer service, they insisted the confirmation email told me the store hours, but it did not.

It would have been better if kayak reports to the customer when booking that there is a 200 dollar deposit on top of the cost of the rental
