Had a reservation, then was told that there were possibly no more vehicles. Someone was supposed to call back to confirm but never heard from anyone. Called the general customer service line to try to find something at another location and was told that a regional manager would contact me immediately regarding the matter. Never heard back from anyone and ended up having to make different last minute arrangements. Hugely disappointed and a frequent occurrence at these locations.

Rented a car through kayak, got a call from Avis instantly saying the inventory was inaccurate and they couldn’t rent a car to me. I get that. However when I asked , is there Another Avis near by to rent from she said she couldn’t give that information. So either their policy of hers resulted in me trying out Turo. Phenomenal experience with them and I was able to rent a luxury SUV for less than their lower compact car.

I never received a vehicle after 4 reservations at 4 different stores wasting 5 hours of my day and wasting time and money traveling and getting rides for no reason because there was never a car for me despite multiple reservations … I highly do not recommend using Avis. And there employees suck and have no customer service skills. They have attitudes with the customers because we are frustrated that they allow me to book but when I arrive there are no cars available.. you shouldn’t be mad at the customers.. we should be the ones mad.
