Waited 1.5 hours to pick up the car, some of it outside in 98 degree heat as the line was too long to fit in the trailer they use at EWR.

Was at least 4 hour wait to get car. Would not allow us to come in building because line was too long. No communication of what was going on and not organized. Customer service is a thing of the past for Dollar at Newark Airport.

Kayak allows you to book a reservation with Dollar (and takes your money!) even when they have no cars. Beware! Just because you have a confirmation number does not mean they have a car for you! You have to call and verify with Dollar directly.

It was honestly easy. I was very happy with this experience. Just getting to the Hertz location was difficult as I was not already in the airport. There was only the hiccup of no cars where I was told to choose a car from. I choose a Corolla that fit the car class I rented. Honestly a great experience overall.

My reservation was essentially cancelled with an hour to go before I was to get it. I was told they didn’t have a car so I had to scramble find another vehicle. I had to go to the airport & pay more for the same size vehicle & deal with an associate who seemed to be mad at the world. And then after everything was totaled, the rental cost an additional ~ $150. An original ~$240 rental became a -$320 rental with an additional $150 is other charges = $480.
