This place is a nightmare. It took me 2.5 hours to get my car. First, Kayak lists the agency as in Terminal, which it is not. The agency is in the airport parking structure. It is difficult to get to the office in the parking structure as several of the elevators are closed but you won’t know this until you walk all the way to the end of the terminal, and then find the elevators closed and need to walk all the way back to access an elevator (some signage could fix this problem). Then in the parking structure you need to walk back to the end through a construction zone to reach the parking structure elevator to reach the 2nd level which is where the rental office is located. Upon reaching the office, I was informed the computers were down and we would go to terminal 5 to complete the paperwork/ rental process. After waiting some time it was determined they would give me the rental car to drive to terminal 5 to complete the rental process. To ensure I don’t steal the car they took my passport and had me follow a car with someone from the rental copany who would drive the other two people waiting to rent cars. I followed this person, who stopped in the main thoroughfare of the garage and completed a 3 point turn and signaled I should do the same. Then we drove out of the airport and entered again and went to terminal 5. At the rental office in terminal 5 I was made to wait in line as if I had just arrived, despite having been dealing with the rental office for an hour now. After waiting in line for 20 minutes it was my turn at the counter. It took more than an hour for the rental paperwork to be completed. They needed to text me a secure code as part of the rental process but could not explain why. The text never arrived and they told me I needed a Saudi phone number. The worker rudely suggested I go to the cell store on the same level of the terminal and purchase a phone or SIM card so I could have a local number. Eventually I resolved this problem by using a local friends number. After all this, they gave me keys to a new car, so the car I drove over was not the car I would be renting. Problem is my kids were out sleeping in the car we drove over, so I was forced to wake the kids and move the car seats to a different car. This place is a hot mess from start to finish and should be avoided.
