The staff were very professional. I suggest that formalities to be completed where the car drop off not you have to go back where you started the process.
Very nice new car, great condition. Convenient location. Pick up and drop off we’re slightly slow. There was an additional 5 riyal airport surcharge which was not disclosed during the booking process.
I have never got the car as Enterprise was not able to provide a car seat for my child. I even phoned in advance to secure it, but the staff was indifferent, claiming “sometimes the seat is here, sometimes it’s not.” Of course it was not when I arrived. And I was then told that I can have the car without the child car seat. What a horrible approach to child safety, isn’t it? My son is 4 so I asked if that’s legal in Oman, not to have any car seat. And the branch manager replied that he is not sure. He doesn’t know the local laws. Seriously? What a knowledgeable stuff! Once again, I have never got the car. And while I rent with Enterprise regularly, this was most likely my last time. PS: I was also told that if I would upgrade and pay more money for a different car with Dollar company, which cooperated with Enterprise, then they would miraculously find me a car seat. I got a bad feeling that Muscat Enterprise branch is scheming. Horrible experience!
They don't honor kayak, Expedia, or dollar's website reservations here.

The company booked the car for an extra day by mistake and charged me for it. I filed a complaint and waiting for the refund. Apart from that the experience was good.

There was no one waiting for us at the counter when we arrived, and we had to wait 30-40 for them to come. It took us a long time coming through customs and immigration so the agent just left. We wanted a 4WD and I checked the model we reserved online prior to booking but that was not a reliable way to ensure we had a 4WD, which Dollar did not provide in Salalah. On our last day, the Dollar agent called us asking when we were returning the vehicle, though we still had hours until the scheduled return time. This would not have been a concern except that the call incurred international charges.

Mostly good experience. Since we were visiting Jebel Akhdar, we needed a 4WD and were grateful the agent at pick-up could provide that. I would have been even more grateful had that been clear when I was making the booking. I checked the model we reserved online prior to booking -- when booking with the same company in both Salalah and Muscat -- but that was not a reliable way to ensure we had a 4WD. Also, returning the vehicle at Muscat Airport was very frustrating; there are few and poorly placed signs directing to rental returns, and then there is no way to get through the gate into the parking area, which requires an entry card. This left a poor end to an otherwise great experience, both in Oman and with Dollar Rental.
