This rental car company falsely charged me for fuel, even though I turned it in with more than it started with. They told me everything was good to go when I turned the car in and handed me the phone to sign without the report in view. I didn't worry about it, because he told me all was well, but found later that he recorded the fuel below the correct level and then tried to charge me for it.

I had a flat tire during my trip. Roadside assistance was great, and I was able to get someone to put on a spare quickly. I wish more guidance had been given on what to do when a flat occurs. I drove to the closest tire place (Kwik Fit in Oban) that could change the tire. They told me Green Motion didn’t have an account with them, so I’d be responsible for the cost. I’d paid for the premium insurance when I picked up the car, and was told I’d be reimbursed for any work that needed to be done. When I returned the car, I offered up the receipt for reimbursement, but was told I could not be paid back because the tire was not a “premium brand.” I wish I’d been told this detail when I picked up the car originally because I just had to eat the cost of the tire. The communication could have been better.

Hidden fees. Cost a lot more than what was advertised. Waited over an hour to sign papers and actually get vehicle.

Horrible. Green motion discriminates against active and retired members of the armed forces. Would not rent to my husband and I due to his work as a military reservist. Would also not offer a price freeze (even though this was completely their fault) on the rate I had booked months prior. The rate they were going to offer me in person was $4000 more than what I pre-paid. They left us stranded at the Edinburgh airport. The lady before me in line also got scammed with an additional $1200 in fees upon pickup. DO NOT RENT.

I felt like I was being scammed. They charged me £277 for a 4cm scratch on the underside of the bumper. Upon both pick up and drop off, a customer at the window was in an intense argument with the staff. I will never rent from this company again.
