I will not rent from Alamo again.

Easy pick up, no line. Kylie, at Charlotte Airport Alamo counter was so nice, professional, and efficient. We were able to get our car quickly, and had no problems at all. Return was smooth and quick as well.

They did not honor the reservation. They said they would not accept it. Very frustrating and very poor customer service.

I picked up my rental just before the office closed. It was the only minivan on the lot and I needed a 7 passenger vehicle to pick up my family from the airport. Basically I felt stuck. I had to accept that car or no car. The car had a horrible cigarette/weed smell in it. I let the lady working know it smelled like cigarettes and I also wrote it on my inspection form before leaving with the vehicle. The smell is so bad, especially if being in the car any length of time. We cancelled our beach trip that we were going to use the car for because the smell was SO bad. We were not able to use this vehicle for our intended purpose and this experience has obviously been very disappointing, as we were looking forward to this trip for a long time. We made the reservation over a month ago.

Waited in line for an hour to drop off and did not need to - was unaware of drop off procedures.

It took the staff at least 30 minutes to find a car that they deemed convenient to rent me. I made a reservation a couple days in advance for a one-way rental. They seemed surprised when I arrived right on time for may reservation and went through their entire inventory to find a car they were willing to give me for the one-way trip. It was very annoying and took entirely too long, especially since I had a reservation that specified it was a one-way rental.

I had a pick up scheduled at 2pm. But the rental place closed at 2. When I showed up the place was closed and I couldn’t get my rental. Terrible experience.

The vehicle was not available when I arrived and had to call to transfer reservation to another store.

Rude and unhelpful staff at the airport.

I booked a small car. When I arrived at the front desk they said they don't have a small car (even though I received a confirmation to my booking) and offered me a bigger car for 600$ more. They said it was because "I booked through a third party", and therefore it was my fault for not having an available car. Then they said that I should wait for 2 more hours if I wanted the small car. So I waited (I had no other choice and I needed the car). One hour later they called me and gave me a bigger car. That's how I found out that they just wanted to see if they can squeeze me to get more money. Then I returned the car earlier but still they charged me for the entire time (even though they said they wouldn't). The whole experience seemed like negotiating in a market in the third world, like someone just wants to squeeze every dollar they can get from my pocket.

I booked a price but when all said and done they overcharged me $800 and I am still fighting with them to get this refunded.
