Quietly set close to the centre of Ulm, the Scotty + Emily Hotel Ulm, Sure Hotel Collection by BW, Ulm, Germany, is a comfortable hotel near the exhibition centre, with bright rooms, free Wi-Fi throughout, an a la carte restaurant with views over the city, a cookery school, and a sauna and fitness area. The city centre and the exhibition grounds lie close by, with the minster and the Danube within easy reach. It makes an easy base for day trips across the region. Ulm rises on the Danube where Baden-Wurttemberg meets Bavaria, crowned by a minster with the tallest church spire in the world. Those who climb its hundreds of steps are rewarded with views toward the Alps, the crooked half-timbered houses of the Fishermen's Quarter lean over the river, and Albert Einstein was born in the city in 1879. River paths follow the young Danube out of town.
